Description: The grapes for this wine are harvested manually to get the best results. On the nose we get a fairly open, expressive wine. The color is deep red. There are still some tannins in the wine which make the aftertaste slightly dry. However, everything is nicely balanced. The body is medium. This wine can be kept for up to 8 years.
The new wines from Herdade do Gamito fall under the so-called Terroir Wines. Wines that express the unique conditions of a transitional area such as Northern Alentejo. However, this area has some steep slopes, some height, very granite and often sandy soils and an almost constant presence of water, supplied by the two ponds and the Ribeira da Seda stream.
