Description: The grapes for this wine are harvested manually to get the best results. On the nose we get shades of black forest fruits. The color is deep red. There are still some tannins in the wine which make the aftertaste slightly dry. The aftertaste is rather complex and quite long. The body is medium. This wine can be kept for up to 8 years and has an alcohol content of 14.5%.
The new wines from Herdade do Gamito fall under the so-called Terroir Wines. Wines that express the unique conditions of a transitional area such as Northern Alentejo. However, this area has some steep slopes, some height, very granite and often sandy soils and an almost constant presence of water, supplied by the two ponds and the Ribeira da Seda stream.
